This place is interesting, the menu and food feel upscale, while the atmosphere feels inviting and not upscale. This is a very good thing since you do not feel or of place when you want a good meal. The crab cake was very good, even better than the one considered "best in ocean city", and the steak was also very good. The sides were numerous and varied and really good, even the coleslaw. The bread was really good! I was not at the bar but the bartender was very nice and helpful to the people at the bar and makes his own mixers, which it sounded like the people really liked. The waitress was very attentive. I did visit in the off season, so it may be different in the summer, I know parking will be much more difficult. I will definitely come back here! Prices are a little high, but the food is good and I think worth the extra.
Very nice experience!! Everyone was very nice and the food was excellent. We had shrimp and scallops risotto and the crab cake. The price is to be expected for the type and quality of food in the current state of our economy.
We had a wonderful experience here. It's enjoyable to sit at the bar, have a few beverages and some appetizers. Highly recommend the crab guacamole. And the espresso and chocolate martinis? Out of this world. They have a pretty decent bourbon selection. And the price - priced just right.Lynn is an amazing bartender, and a great waitress. If you go ask for her because she is awesome.
Great food, great service in a wonderful atmosphere. Our table of 8 was very well taken care of. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the appetizers were enjoyed by all. The courtyard Marriott location is a beautiful oceanfront hotel that houses the Captains Table. Great place to go for any occasion.
Coming in to end our trip we stopped by the Captains table to enjoy a higher end meal. We were greeted quickly by the lovely server Dee! Who made me smile a lot! We all got the filets, and two out of the 3 were not cooked right, and then were IMMEDIATELY corrected by the manager. Our time was well spent chatting with the lovely manager April. She was very helpful and made this experience a solid 10/10. If I could give more than 5 stars to both Dee + April I would!
Ambiance! You walk in to a 60's/70's retro atmosphere. Dim but colrful and perfect. Attentive and friendly service. We got the tomahawk steak and added a crab cake. Hands down one of the best steaks I've ever had!! No joke. I love bourbon and they have an immaculate selection!! I had an old fashion and it was spot on. You have to try this place.
Went for 29th anniversary. Kris was our server and she made the night great. Food was a little bland. Drinks were great. We never needed to ask for anything, Kris was on top of everything. Best service we've experienced in a long time.
We were well taken care of as a party of 11. The waitstaff was sweet and understanding of our kids. The dinner rolls were fresh, warm, and soft! The crab cake was great, but don't sleep on the in-house, handmade gnocchi served with all the greats: chicken, sausage, artichoke, sun dried tomato, spinach. Oooo I don't think I'll have better gnocchi in my life.
We had a great experience at the Captains Chair restaurant. I was a little anxious because of some of the other reviews here on google but our experience didn’t mirror those. My wife gave me a list of restaurants in the vicinity of hotel that she wanted me to look through and pick out one. We had walked 3 miles and biked another 3 earlier and I didn’t feel like walking far. TCC was almost literally next door to where we were staying. I made a reservation on Open Table for 6pm. I made a mistake about the number of people in the party and sent a message in the app. Thankfully it was updated and a note about requesting a booth also went through. When we arrived there was already a set of menus and a coloring sheet and crayons for our son set aside. I started to ask for a booth and Mike was already reading the notes I made on Open Table and started us to our table. We were at our table before 6pm. Lynn was our server and was extremely pleasant. We had drinks and fries for our son in 10 minutes. Appetizers came 10 minutes later. It took another 30 minutes for our main course but the restaurant was mostly full at that time. We were also satiated from the appetizers and drinks. The food was great. I had cream of crab soup, flatbread and Mahi Mahi. When we visit Ocean City, MD again we will probably come back to this restaurant. Not sure what circumstances led to some of the less than stellar reviews but the staff was definitely not deserving of bad reviews during our visit. 7 stars out of 5.
Located on the 3rd floor (take the elevator or stairs) of the Courtyard Marriott, this is a nice restaurant for breakfast and dinner. I had the chocolate martini which was strong. Missy, our waitress was very helpful and friendly and got the drink adjusted with more Bailey's for me. I had the shrimp (5) which were large and good, not greasy. I got fries and coleslaw. My husband had the catch of the day which came with a choice of vegetables. Savannah gave us tips on where to go when it was raining, so that was nice.
